Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A License: Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License in good standing.

• Tanker Endorsements: Required (X endorsement).

• 3+ Years Tanker Experience Preferred: Prior experience managing liquid surge is highly valued.

• Manual Transmission Proficiency: Must be skilled in shifting and operating manuals (non-restricted license).

• Clean Driving Record: A high standard for safety with no major violations or preventable accidents on your MVR.

• Loading/Unloading Proficiency: Must be capable of operate pumps and hoses.

• Fitness for Duty: Ability to climb ladders and handle hoses/couplings weighing up to 60 lbs.

Technical & Operational Skills:

• Vehicle Inspection: Pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections for safety compliance (brakes, lights, tires).

• Coupling/Uncoupling: Proper, safe procedures for connecting and disconnecting tractor-trailers.

• Vehicle Control: Proficient backing, turning, and parking in confined spaces.

• Pre/Post-Trip Inspections: Conducting thorough, daily inspections of brakes, tires, lights, couplings and more.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding DOT regulations, including drug/alcohol testing, medical certification, and legal requirements for operating a commercial vehicle.

• Equipment Proficiency: Mastering manual transmissions, air brakes, and tankers.
